FESRC Became the Only Company Representing Russia on the Largest Asian Exhibition on Offshore Shipbuilding
Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center featured United Shipbuilding Corporation on the dedicated exhibition 2012 Offshore Korea. The largest Asian and European companies centering on the construction of offshore structures, specific vessels and complex marine structures for the shelf development dressed their booths on the exposition held in Busan on November 14-16.
The exhibit display of Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center drew heightened attention for it was the only Russian company that internationally presented its project. Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex being built in Bolshoi Kamen will be capable of participating in the construction of oil production and drilling rigs following its final implementation stage, and Stage IV of Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex is a purpose-designed shipyard in Pyat Okhotnikov (Five Hunters’) Bay for building offshore structures. Also at the FESRC booth Vostco Offshore Structures Construction Yard showcased its recently completed project for the construction of the Russia’s largest gravity-based structure for Berkut platform.
“The interest to the exhibition from the FESRC part is linked to the particular significance that the cooperation with the companies of the Korean shipbuilding sector has to us. The Republic of Korea is the acknowledged leader of the world shipbuilding; furthermore, it is geographically very close to Primorye. We are open to team with Korean partners in the areas of vessel design and construction, material and equipment procurement, introduction of cutting-edge technologies and workforce training”, Roman Gorbunov, Deputy Director General of FESRC, JSC, remarked.
The annual international exhibition 2012 Offshore Korea drew professionals from tens of countries; current projects in the offshore shipbuilding, and new equipment, materials and technologies for this field were displayed there.
